Many people have more than one browser installed on their computer. Windows needs to know which browser you want to use by default, or automatically, when you open new websites. This article shows you how to set Google Chrome as your default browser.
- Click the wrench icon in the browser window.
- Click Options

- Ensure the Basics tab is selected.
- In the “Default browser” section, click Make Google Chrome my default browser.
- Your settings have been updated and Chrome is now your default browser.
